I got into Graphic Designing because of my passion to art and computer. This program is a mix of both things that I admire.I like art, films, music, and being imaginative. I love creating booklets, illustrations, magazine covers, ads, web designs, brochure, and posters. My goal is to get a stage, and then hopefully go to University to continue to my studies.
What I can do for you.
Some of my work are done during my free time and if you would like to see more of them, click on the instagram icon at the top of my page, but most of my work shown above are what I have done during my 3 years at Vanier.
I created a metaphorical magazine cover about air pollution. How smoking produces air pollution more than diesel exhaust, and that if we don't do anything about it, the earth will turn into ashes. Photoshop is used.
I used Photoshop to create this cover, I wanted it to be really colourful, and to follow the modern trend that the current audience are interesed in, like for example like bright colours, colourful, and repeated text and sans-serif fonts. It was supposed to be a fine art edit but I thought it would look nice as an album cover so I added the "answer the phone goddamn it"" which is something I made up to make it look like an album cover. Done in Photoshop.
We created a six word story about ourselves and what makes us stronger. I made each alphabet on it's own and the colours represent my six word story. It starts of grey and slowly turns colourful. This design was inspired by watercolour type. I used Photoshop to create this design.
Since I am a big fan of movies, and before searching a movie up I always search it up on imdb, I decided to create a mobile movie app inspired by imdb. You search any movie in the search engine, and it gives you all the information you need for a movie from the imdb database like Genre, Rating, Release of movie, IMDB rating, IMDB votes, Actors, Directior, Plot, Language, Production, the release of the DVD and Awards. Done in Dreamweaver.
I want to include this work because I think it's one of the best that I did. It's a newsletter designed for children about Science. The illustrations represents what the articles are about and at the same time represents what kids are into like dinosaurs, animals and colourful layouts. The illustrations were created in Illustrator but the layout was done in Indesign.
The design is for a wine bottle created for Bibi graetz. I was inspired by watercolours to create the look and make it look elegant, and also make the colours nicely mixed together. The application used was Photoshop and Illustrator.
For this project, we had to visit an exhibition of our choice. I choose Revolution:"You say you wanna a Revolution". This report includes information about the exhibition and whether or not I recommend it. My report's design represents the 1960s theme of the exhibition which was very colourful, hippie and playful fonts.
We were asked to create an infographic about a subject that interests us. I decided to create an infographic of the evolution of women hairstyles through the decades from 1920s till 2010s, since I like learning about the evolution of stuff. The illustrations on the right are the hairstyles and the information are the name of the hairstyle, the year the hairstyle was invented ,information about how it started and which iconic figures have had that specific hairstyle. Done in Illustrator
Dial M for murder (1954) is an Alfred Hitchcock movie. It’s a minimalist modern poster symbolizing the important objects in the movie. The scissors, the telephone, and the keys to an apartment which is the only location in the movie, as well the iconic quote from the movie “Do you really believe in the perfect murder?”. Created in Illustrator.
I designed a weekly publication about Montreal and the events that will be in a given week. I picked music events. My colour palette is black, white and red. I believe the colours I picked are very sophisticated and elegant. I was inspired to use black because of musical notes which are black. I wanted it to look modern but classic at the same and the cover to catch the viewers attention and to whoever is interested in music. Done in InDesign.
I have designed four pictograms, one for video games, one for bowling ball, one for café and one for darts for an arcade. My colour palette is blue, black and white since pictograms are usually very minimal but at the same time they represent a message through images alone. Done in Illustrator
I created an annual report for Freshii, which is a healthy Canadian restaurant franchise. My fonts, images and colour palette match the company because they represent healthy food and healthy drinks. I used a clean design as well to match their brand “feeling”. The annual report also includes their financial statistics as well as their mission and their future direction. I used Photoshop, Illustrator and inDesign.
As a way to explore packaging design, I created a personal project for a chocolate bar. I used pictures and colours, and created several psychedelic marble effects to form a collage. For the typography, I put emphasis on the title, and to create contrast I reduced the other information on the label. Done in Photoshop.
I entered a competition and won at Vanier to design a poster for Big Band's 20th annual concert. I made the saxophone black and white so that it makes a contrast with the colourful outlines around it. change the colours of the saxophone and the music sheets and lowered the opacity of the circles and the music sheet to put emphasis on the typography. Done in Photoshop and inDesign.
This is an album cover created by mixing three artistic movements: Surrealism, collage art and Pop art. I really like creating things that are out of the ordinary, creative and still represent me as a graphic designer. I also made the type looks like it’s coming from several different magazines to have a collage effect.
This is made by using three different gifs found online, modifying them and making a surrealist collage gif, the gif is a mix of the 50s with the bodies of Elvis Presley and Ann Margret from the movie Viva Las Vegas, and a mix of the 70s because of the disco vibes which was not present in the 50s. Done in Photoshop
This is a collage done in Photoshop, and it is one of the first gifs I have done in Photoshop. I have named it 3D in black and white world since it's a classic image of an audience watching a movie with the old 3D glasses and with an add of the red blink going off and on which is the moving graphic. It feels like it's in another universe but still has a vintage feel to it. Done in Photoshop.
